SRAM gets Naming rights sponsor and brings Sam Hill along

SRAM is the naming rights sponsor and will bring Sam Hill, Current Downhill World Champ to Adelaide for the Australian Mountain Bike Championships January 12 to 17th 2010.


SRAM, the bike industry’s most innovative component manufacturer has come onboard to be naming rights sponsor for The Australian Mountain Bike Championships. They will be bringing race support for all their major brands including RockShox Avid Truvativ and those shiny SRAM bits.


SRAM will also be bringing along current world Down Hill Champion, Sam Hill. Perth based Sam is returning for his second year after failing to qualify last year due to a rare mechanical accident. The race was taken out by Jared Graves (Ex-BMX Olympian)


Also in the Specialized Monster team will be newly signed and Adelaide Local Troy Brosnan. Sam Hill is the former junior world champ and is mentoring Troy Brosnan in these early stages of his professional career. Troy recently showed some very impressive results in his first overseas competition at the Whistler based Crankworx event, including top of the podium in the Junior Dual Slalom event.
Eagle Mountain Bike park where the race will be held has a brand new world class 4X track, spectacular upgrades to the Down Hill track and a challenging re-route of the XC courses, not to mention Trials, Banshee Dirt jumps, and Leaf Cycles Pump track the SRAM 2010 Australian Mountain Bike Champs Jan 12th to 17th at Eagle Mountain Bike Park will be the best Champs for many years.


This will be the first year of a 3 year deal to host the Australian Mountain Bike Championships.
